2015 Program Overview

The 2015 Global Link Program welcomed 6 ICU students to New York from July 6th to July 31st. The 2015 program shifted its focus from two-month internships to a one month schedule filled with activities and site visits focusing on New York City, its history, its neighborhoods and its ever-changing demographics. Through site visits and discussions at local organizations, students were also able to learn about efforts to address the urgent issues faced by NYC such as sustainability, education disparities, disaster preparation and resiliency, etc. Participants also engaged in various social service activities with volunteer groups such as Habitat for Humanity, the Bowery Mission.
